I've noticed no matter how long i idle or drive my half ton, the heat will never get warm. It doesn't stay cold, but it doesn't get warm like heat should. It becomes 'neutral'. Any ideas / how can I fix this??

Grab the two hoses for the heater core on the firewall and check to see how warm they are. May be as simple as stuck blend door, turn air on 1 and rotate the temp selector back and forth a dozen times or so pausing for about a second after each turn. See if it's any better

What does the temp guage read? Maybe a thermostat stuck open.

Temperature gauge is always at an all time low, no matter how long I drive. Pretty much stays at 130, maybe a LITTLE over. The truck has always and still does run completely perfect. Besides the heat.

what is the ambient temp? It sounds like either thermostat is stuck open, or somebody removed the thermostat.

Sorry about that... the ambient temp lately has been in the 20's, it reads exactly what it is. Today its 15 degrees

One thing to keep in mind as I've run into this with multiple vehicles, if your coolant system hasn't been flushed, that is often a cause. Heater core gets gunked up. Have it flushed and that may solve the problem (and its good for all around engine health to boot).

take time to make sure you're putting the tstat in right side up. They usually say right on the thermostat body which side faces up, if not, the big copper slug faces the engine.
