That 6.4 will be fine for that kid. The **** aerodynamics would beat you up not matter what.... a strong head wind will hurt you, you’d feel it with a Cummins too just less. I tow a lot heavier than that with my hemi and it’s fine

Thanks for the response! Yes, I hope it does the job, like I said on its "heaviest day" it'll be loaded right at 10k, most of the time closer to 7K, once/twice a week. I will have diminishing loads as I deliver to each location after the initial pickup at destination, if that makes sense. The other 4 or 5 days of the week, it'll be my daily driver. Fearfact, do you have the 4.10s? I could not find any 4.10's in any dealership car lots near my location(Seattle area). I was on a time constraint to purchase a truck so I did not have a chance to special order it.

I'm sure it'll be fine. You won't win any speed contests, but it'll do the work. Just be dilligent with your maintenance. Even with my 6k TT in tow my truck gears down on the grades but always pulls like a freight train once geared down. I have to back out of it some to avoid speeding. I also have the 73s. Just let it gear down and work.

Up in the mountains I'm up over 4,000 rpm while on the steep grades and again once up there she pulls strong and sounds great too!

Awesome input guys. What are your thoughts on this gadget, getting high praise, called the pedal Commander? from doing my research it looks legit. not sure if there's any benefits from a towing standpoint.

I plan to pick up a PC soon as the throttle lag is much more noticeable when freighted.... and it’ll be more fun otherwise

I think you will be very suprised at the 6.4. We have a enclosed trailer loaded with construction equipment weighing 7,000 then my truck has tool boxes all in the bed and it pulls great like it’s not even there!

I have 2 6.4 Hemi's sitting in my drive now. My personal '15 crew cab with 74,600 miles and my work provided truck...'18 reg cab 4x4 with 4,700 miles. Don't put many miles on my '15 now that I don't drive it to work now. I'm an Account Manager at a local big lawn and landscape company now.

That's great to hear. That's about what I'll be towing on average on a weekly basis. 9-10 max on those rare occasions. A few mountain passes but all below 3200 ft elevation

Please let me know what you think. I'm t ting to find someone on this forum with a "long term" (over 2 yrs used) review on them. Pros and cons. So far I've heard nothing but great things about the PC

Another update: The truck now has 350,000 miles.
No problems or issues in the last 120,000 miles.
Still running strong and drives like new.

Good golly, man! My 2015 only has 41,000. I may have to do the ferris bueler trick and put my truck up on blocks and run the wheels to catch up!

He ran it in reverse to get miles off so his dad wouldn’t find out and doing so it fell off the blocks and then threw the wall of the garage into a deep ravine. But I knew what you meant.

2015 Ram 2500 and 34k no problems. With dual steering stabilizers it handles 37x13.5xr17 Toyo MTs like stock! Ball joints and tie rods still great. How many miles do you get on ball joints? I know the big tires reduce it some.
