It honestly isn't difficult to do it just scares a lot of people because they think it's more involved than it actually is. If you have any questions or issues just post it up on the forum and one of us will help you out. I did take these pictures. The 1st 2 pictures show the number 2 pin in the HVAC plug connector and where I spliced into the wire by cutting off the shielding a little further away from the actual HVAC connector so I would have more room and soldered the jumper wire in. The last picture shows where you simply insert the pin on the other side of the jumper wire into the vacant slot in the mirror harness connector and then you're done. My jumper wire was actually the same color wire as the the HVAC wire I was splicing into just to clarify in case the last picture is confusing.20180706_145842.jpeg20180706_120133.jpeg20180706_164908.jpeg

Just wanted thank Mike Grimm M2MODS for another superb product. I had previously converted my MTC to ATC using the M2MOD harness but had not changed the center HVAC control that is under the radio which adds an AUTO button. Since I was upgrading to an RA4 radio I decided now was the time to do so and the result perfect. This is the fourth item I have purchased from them (backup camera harness, ATC harness, cargo camera harness and now the ATC control). Someone should tell Ram about M2MODS, their work is equal to, IF NOT BETTER, than OEM. Once again THANKS. Pic below:
(PS...while the pic does not look out of the ordinary, it is. Neither an RA4 or ATC is available as OEM in a regular cab heavy duty)

Hello all,
So I have read all 57 pages and to my knowledge I haven’t seen anyone who has almost everything in place to do this mod. I have a 2015 3500 and have the temp sensor plug under the dash already and have already programmed my 8.4 to do the dual atc which does work but obviously only reads one sensor I presume the one on the passenger side even if I change it on the drivers side it just goes to that temp waiting to go to dealer in the am for sensor 55111178AC. So I’m here askin does anyone have photos of the dual zone atc hvac system? I’m wondering if I actually have it and just need to add the sensor and enable it and bam have dual zone atc.

I guess the next step is to see what color wires those would be and location on the hvac harness I’ll see if I can get a schematic tomrw from dealer. It’s pretty tight back there hard to tell

I'm curious if your truck is a regular cab? Are you throwing any DTC codes from the BCM/HVAC module?

... and you don't want to set it for single zone ATC?

M² Mods.

I have a crew cab 3500 and I’m not sure my truck is always throwing codes so I stop checking. They had to order sensor n it’s to much work to pull out of Jeep so I’ll wait until tomrw

Alright folks. Our new v2 ATC /Humidity Sensor Add-on is being shipped out to Joe for a test run. Should be plug n Play and tuck in along the top edge of the headliner without taking it down. Once we get feedback we will offer it officially.

Any update on on the test run, haven't seen anything posted???

So I need some advice. Mine has worked since installed and for the past couple of months I've watched the defrost light flashing at me on startup so I knew there were codes but I finally got around to scanning it and there are 3 codes. Now that's its colder I've noticed it takes forever for the truck to heat up because it doesn't really up the fan speed beyond 2 or 3 and I'm thinking the codes are why. Has anyone ran into this? I tried putting it back to manual and redo the process but it didn't help. d1247113c2bfa8ac454a65ad751d29da.jpg502a6564df3c5120ffc9b673e164ecc1.jpgb5c4f2739ede509d1a8be783604882ae.jpg

The solar sensor faults are normal on my last truck.
Sounds like your temp sensor has failed .
Maybe try and meter and see if the wiring from the temp sensor connector to the HVAC connector is good .

As stated the sun sensor codes are normal after the ATC mod unless you replace the actual sun sensor but they have no effect on the function of the HVAC. I would also lean towards a problem with your interior temp sensor or wiring.

Does the humidity sensor need to be set to “present” or enabled in the BCM?

Also, while on auto mode, do you see the fan speed and where the climate control is venting on screen? My last car had it that way.

We didn't enable the code on our trucks and the truck still reads the sensor. Whe it's set to ATC it doesn't show the fan speed or the direction of flow.

I have thought about enabling the sensor but it asked for a location and I need to look at a truck's configuration that is a 1500 that came with ATC from the factory to verify which location setting it should be. Since the truck is actually reading the sensor I haven't got around to doing it yet.

We are working with a member who has a 8.4 MTC from the factory now. We will most likely be offering an adapter cable in the near future for these trucks. If your interested in trying it out shoot me a pm.

As for the modification to the panel, I really can't answer that question as I didn't do it. CuylerTech said that @00R/T did it, so maybe he can comment.

Where can I get the adapter to add the temp sensor to 8.4 already in truck?
