Its on my list of to-do's, but I've a few other things need doing first. Got some work on the bike to get done. If I sell my PC, I could afford the fan...

How does this fair with active shutters?

Good question! The mechanical fan is basically always spinning and there is a small portion of the bottom of the shutters that always remains open. I found with a lower temperature thermostat the shutters will fight you to maintain the lower temperature by keeping them closed. Check out this video for more info. I'm going to be showing how to delete the shutters soon without throwing a light and is completely reversible.

No "edit" option on my post for me anymore so I can't go back in and change the original post or I would fix it myself :D

So with doing the Efan, 180 t stat and deleting the shutters was there any power gain?
I saw you are in TX what part?

I’m curious as well. How do you adjust when the fan comes on? Can it be done with a factory thermostat ?

If you're using a stock style e-fan, then you need a tuner to set the temps. If you have a stock thermostat, then the stock tune will turn it on when it hits around 200 I believe. Also, using the stock e-fan connection, the fan will be on if the AC is on.

There are aftermarket setups that have a temp probe and can be tuned to come on whenever you want. Flex-a-lite had something like that.

@ivey_usmc, me? I don’t have shutters. I did my Efan and 180 Tstat after I did LT headers, so I couldn’t give you a baseline.

Tuner adjusted for changes. No imbalance in the fan. Engine stays nice and cool here in Round Rock. Engine bay freed up LOTS of room as a result.

Ditching my clutch fan and installing a 180 thermostat today. Matt from moes told me my factory ac fan will be just fine because I do not tow anything. I adjusted the ac fan temps with my diablosport down to 190.

Nice!!! Do you have an 8 speed? If you do I would definitely delete the active grille shutters as well otherwise your fan will be on constantly. Those shutters do a great job of blocking airflow to the rad if you are trying to keep things cooler than stock.

Yes sir I have an 8speed. Active shutters are long gone when I installed my vararam. Sitting in the junk pile with my clutch fan and shroud now haha

Just another question, Next weekend I am going to install the V6 fan and a 190 thermostat (In Europe the temperature is colder so I use a 190) I want to set the on temperature with the Diabolo to 212 on (stock is 225 stock Thermostat is 203 so 225 minus 13 is 212) but I don not know the switch of temperature from stock?

So what will be the stock shut the fan of temperature?

Thanks and greetings,

Erik.
