I would still have one fan at each end just to push air through. If you are not pushing the amp near its limits you could be ok...

All this to push a sub ? What am I missing ?

No, this was just an example of how the amp can be mounted. I disagree on needing a fan, that would be overkill.

I’ve had my system cranking for hours while rolling through 110 degree deserts and never had an issue with heat.

Here’s how I have mine set up, small mono amp on a sheet of wood with the seatbelt bolts going through it. Oem 6 speaker setup with a LCi2 coming off the rear signals.

You can, but then you’ll be running signal, power, and speaker wires through both walls. That opens you up to issues if the wires rub against the edges of the hole. Plus it creates a place for water to get into the cab.

There is a drainage slot in the front floor of the bed (no water anyway due to the cap) and figured I can go in through the bottom of the cab and put rubber grommets for the wires to go through then seal it with silicone. Figured this way the limited air space behind the seats doesn't hinder it

Net Audio sealed box, with a R-F P2D2 4ohm wired down to 2.

My only other thought on that is in the summer it might get very warm back there. In the cab you would most likely have the air conditioning running.

Or windows open... I can open the windows of the cap as well.. Just figure behind the seats would be no air.. If I'm wrong I'm good with them there

can you tell me where you tapped into the rear speaker lines for the lc2i? or even better post a picture? I am going to be installing subs soon...and I have no idea where the speaker wires are other than in the doors to tap into for my Pioneer amp.
