I must be reading this wrong. Did you say over $2k for a ring & pinion set?We have an AAM 9.25 front axle. The biggest gear sets we can get are 4.56. Be prepared to spend $$$ if you want to make the switch, for OEM gear set will run just north of $2,000. My quote was $2300.
For 550 dollars for front and rear gear sets, shims, bearings, and gear oil. I'll just replace the R&P gear a few times if need be, lolYes you read that correctly. That is with OEM ring and pinion. Supposedly much better than aftermarket. I was not ready for that price quote!

Haha very true. I have aftermarket ring and pinion Nitro is the brand I have and I have not seen any issues. OEM are made for them by someone I wonder who it is? Chances are that they have switched suppliers anyway throughout the model. For 550 dollars for front and rear gear sets, shims, bearings, and gear oil. I'll just replace the R&P gear a few times if need be, lol
