I want more lift, but I'm in a conundrum...

I would like to add a few inches...

..to the height of my truck.. :)

BUT, I plow in the winter, and tow basically all summer.

It's stock suspension + 2" leveling kit, on 235-85-16s. I had 295-75 Hankook RT01 MTs, but they threw the plow a-frame angle off too far, causing poor plowing situation. Swapping to the 235-85-16s fixed most of it, and modifying the plow frame fixed the rest of it.

If I do a suspension lift, then my tires will look way too small, and the plow will be back to square one with issues.

I think a body lift will do the same (tire-wise), calling for taller tires, thus making it a moot point.

Do the body lifts, like 2" (if there is such a height) make the bumper areas look stupid, and expose the frame areas to a point of looking like ass?

If you have a 2G truck with a 2-3" body lift, can you post a pic?

I searched but didn't really find any relevant posts.

Thank you all.

A body lift with the addition of gap guards looks like it came that way but you will look like a roller skate with a shovel on the front with those tiny tires. Let's see a pic of how she stands now.

Here's with the 305s + leveling kit.

You could do the body lift, get bigger tires, and keep a smaller set of rims and tires for the winter.

Would a set of winter tires be out of the question? I know with plowing a narrower tire is better anyway. Who cares if your truck looks goofy for the winter if its making you money!

I dont think I have ever recomended a body lift before but this seems like a good situation. You could keep you plow angle and your hitch would be at the same height
With gap gaurds and bumper brackets you usually cant even tell. I think they only make a 3" BL. Wish they would make the 1.25" or a 2" for more trucks

Hockey puck it! No don't, never do that, but I'm sure someone makes a 2 inch. But might as well go 3 really.

2nd gens don't need the gap guards, our fender wells still cover the frame after body lifts

From the thread where I got the pic he said didn't have much roll with it.

I believe it also has a 5 inch lift to go with the body lift, but still the frame is covered with the wheel well covers.

I have 305s and a 5" lift. might add some perspective.

I'm going to get 315s when these wear down.

the only area the body lift is noticeable is at the back bumper. if you raise the bumper with the brackets to hide the gap, you lose towing cap. from it, and there is now a gap between the bumper and the hitch.
