2000 v10. the truck idles fine. no check engine light. when I step on the gas I hear a massive rushing sound, and there is no power from te engine. The engine acts as if either the exhaust is plugged or I am stepping on the brake while flooring the accelerator. if I idle and slowly accelerate keeping it under 2000 RPM I can slowly get up to speed but again no power and the rushing sound continues. 175000 on the truck.

Sounds like an issue I had with my jeep once, the catalytic converter was plugged. In my case you could let it run for about 15 min at idle then attempt to drive it for about 5 min and look under the truck and the cat was just starting to glow red from heat. Installed a new one and never had anymore issues.
