Update my UAS from 19.9 to the latest software 22.6. Everything working good as it did on the older version. Sound quality is also just as good also.

Has anybody tried to install a Vp2rfp out of the jeep compass
It looks like it has Apple CarPlay and android auto but no cell phone service and The connector in the back looks the same this is a Late 2017 early 2018 radio only

I tried one. Couldn't even get it to power on. I'm not sure if it was a junk radio or the fact that on my bezel, the center of my volume knob is a mute button and on the compass it is a power button. I wonder if the CANBUS message is different.

You could try the ram UAQ v18.14 file in post 8 if the compass 'application version' is earlier... No guarantees

Can anybody point me in the right direction for a 2014 RA4 software download? OTA update 17.43.01 bricked my unit and it’s stuck on the “Please insert USB with latest update to continue” or “There was a problem starting the head unit if problem occurs after ignition cycle contact dealer” screens. Every 2-3 months I will crank truck and radio will cut on and work fine until I turn truck off and then it will go back to that screen for months at a time again. UCONNECT website says I’m running the latest update so it won’t give me any software to try to flash. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have the 17.43.01 files for 2014 non-Canadian truck. I can PM you a Google drive Link if you'd like to download it.

Conversely, if you have the VIN number for the truck you can download it direct from UConnect's site (or at least you used to be able to).

Anyone know if the firmware posted in post 4 would work with a 8.4 with the model number 68238619AJ? Just upgraded the radio in my tradesman and saw that the verified part numbers only went up to 68238619AH.

I found a what may be a later version of the TSB for the 2018 radios. The TSB is 08-016-19 REV. E dated October 4, 2019. It shows a new software version, 28.3, for WD & WK vehicles. Those are Durnago's and Grand Cherokee's respectively. I have the file UCONNECT_8.4_UCQ_MR28.3-CAN-WK,WD-MY18.zip.

Im interested as well...I dont have any UAx radio, but am curious as to where the UAx files are hosted.

They dont seem to be in the same server location as the RAx files.

Based on that rev E TSB , the 2018 ram UAQ is finally getting updated to application version 22.6 like the UAS did with rev D almost 5 months ago.

Definitely need to find a source for those files too.

He added a link to the australian forum, which has a login to mydrive and the files are there.

But Im not sure if they would flash to a UAx if they were made for UCx

As some may remember, I was the first (or maybe second) to put a UAQ in a RAM by modifying the mounts on one from a 2017 300. I’ve been using that radio since, and it still works great. But, it has no RAM theme or splash screen and it bugs me. The cargo camera also doesn’t work. I’ve been reluctant to do anything for fear I’ll brick it, but I have a new daily driver so if my truck is without a radio for a bit while I find a replacement UAQ it won’t be a huge deal.

I think I’m going to download the UAQ file that was ousted and see if it will update to it.

If they operate like the RAx radios it should pick up the proper branding "if" it accepts the update as valid and flashes...

Yeah, it’ll definitely pick it up. The problem is that the software was from before RAMs with UAQs existed, so it has no RAM files and loads a default UConnect theme. I actually changed my brand in my BCM to Dodge so I get a Dodge splash screen and multiple themes. It’s better, but not right.

My concern is that there’s different software forks, and that file won’t install on top of mine.

I don't think the flash will proceed if it doesn't see the right radio type. this was more for folks that have put Grand Cherokee or other FCA radios in their RAM.

I am not brave enough to try it on my UAQ. It is working pretty good so if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
