Yup I hate the customs too. I ordered some rigid lights from the USA and the product got sent back to the seller 3 times before I got them.

Well I just got all my lights from Jeremy. All nicely pack up and you can see that customs open the box and went through it. Guess they didn't find any drugs. Thanks Jeremy! I'll be getting them installed when I get back from my holidays.

This was really helpful. You have to be a little creative with mounting the resisters and relays but all in all this is a REALLY clean installation. Make sure you have lots of self tapping screws, lock washers and a couple small zap straps before you start though. I'm really impressed with the quality of product Retro Shop puts out. Cheers Jeremy.

ouch

i was removing the bottom bolt on my headlight. it has a metal clip and other components and after one turn of the bolt the plastic casted piece that the bolt goes through cracked. shouldn't have broken that easily with no tension on it. i can't find a replacement part for that anywhere. it seems to be a large piece maybe part of the radiator but need help locating. its a 2014 ram 1500

When I opened my lights up I snapped off that mounting tab on one of my lights. Picked up some JB Weld for plastic to re-attach. You could try something like that? Stuff seems to be super tough once it sets.

So is it better to have projector style hl for this swap? Can I still adjust the light pattern via the hl if not? Very new to projectors and hids.

Projectors would definitely be best to effectively direct the output of the HID's and not blind oncoming traffic. Depending on your local laws HID's might be illegal as well without being in a projector.

Do you have a plug and play harness for the hids yet?

Is this a dual in dual out harness? I never understood what that meant.

Finally ordered from you last night, JJ. One quick question, is it still possible to put the CAN bus adapters and ballasts inside the headlight housing? Has anyone reported any issues doing this?

So the newest ballasts do not fit inside the housings. Decided to cut a 7/8 in. hole and this made it easy. I mounted the CAN bus adapter and ballast on the frame. Everything checked out and worked first try. I may need to level the lights because I'm a little OCD when it comes to a perfect flat line, but right now it's barely off and they look great.

Thanks Retroshop for a great product!
