Hello all,

Please advise: When replacing the intercooler hoses and pipes, should I put some sort of gasket sealant between the hoses and the metal pipes, and the top of the block to maintain pressure?

When I took it all apart it had no gasket or sealant on the top of the block at all.

Also, does anyone know the torque settings for the intake bolts?

Many thanks!
Matt

I would not put any sealant on there, it'll just make a mess next time you go to remove them due to cracking or whatever. If the mating surface is clean and its not sealing, then you really should replace the hose. Alternatively, though I don't suggest it, bead seal for tires would work well, just dont get the watery stuff from NAPA. It should be thick like elmers glue.

Clean and dry. Hair spray if you need extra hold.
