Got a local guy parting a 1995 ram 1500, and I need a Jack for my 95 ram 2500. Are the factory spare tire jacks the same? My truck has the tool kit for the winch and lugs but the Jack is missing. Thanks.

Take a look at the stamping on the jack, it will list the rated capacity of the unit.

I don't know if they rated the jacks differently for that gen truck or not. I don't think either truck had a jack that was rated to lift to total GVWR of the truck.

My only other wonder is if the Jack for a 2500 was taller for the taller reach of the 2500 4x4 suspension.

Just get you a cheap bottle jack. Factory ones are junk despite what folks say.
