The difference between these 2 intakes is the tubing, I understand, and the black tubing deflects heat, thus cooler air more power. Being the only difference, I'm right?

Is there a "The Best" CAI? I feel they're all the same, maybe someone has input. They're all going to give me the growl when you punch it, no? Maybe a little more power

I know most of you are partial to the vararam, but it's not what I'm looking for, kind of partial to this style intake

Black Tube
63-1561 - K&N 63 Series Aircharger Kits, Performance Intake Kit

Polished Tube
77-1561KP - K&N Intake Kits, Performance Intake Kit

Plastic=cooler air temps=more hp

metal=hotter air temps=less hp

Thats the only difference.

Not sure how drastic the difference is, but I would go with the plastic tubing just because I don't like the engine bay being all black and then one big chrome tube. It looks out of place in my eyes.

I just put installed the AFE CIA on my 2012. It has the metal tube but it is black. I installed about three days ago and have seen an increase of about a mile and a half of fuel mileage. I love it.

if anything, black would absorb heat and the chrome would reflect it. The material it's made of however will also make a difference.

The bottom line is that the difference might be 1 HP. Who the hell cares?!
Buy what you want. I personally hate Chrome, so the choice would be easy for me.
