My 2nd gen just hit 203,000. Went in today and looked at a 17 Tradesmen 1500, HEMI 4wd. No options. Totally stripped down. $619.00 a month for 60 months!!!!!!! Just wondering how average owners stomach the payment then actually use it?
I work with a guy with a 17 2500 big horn diesel and I choked when he told me his payment was almost $1000.00. Not trying to be negative. I just can't see the value as a non-commercial vehicle. Here in Pennsylvania, body perforation historically for Rams is between 4/5 years. The dealer was fixed for me going 84 or 120 months!

I never heard 120! Was not a FCA or whatever they are calling themselves. @ 6% looked at the guy like he was nuts. 10 years that truck would be see through. I did lie a bit. The strip down was $515.....$619 was with the power option group and chrome appearance package.

I paid $33k out the door for my Bighorn, payment is like $480?
I did pay some cash down. Finance through my own bank, not their number.

You gotta pay to play, and used trucks are often times $$$$$$.

Can you not rust-treat the truck to make it last longer than 4 years?

My 16 rcsb with manual doors and locks was 28k out the door. No down and 380 a month for 72months my credit score is close to 800 though.

Wish I lived in Texas. Half of the rust proofing is snake oil. The other half make it twice as worse. The swing in extremes of temperature crack the undercoat and the salt gets into pockets. Unless your a fanatical obsessive compulsive. It's going to start blistering year 3, surface rust year 4 and your rockers and can corners are gone shortly after. Plenty of 3rd gens rocking rivits and rattle can paint. I hear people can have them for around $28 but maybe it's a lack of inventory of the standard cabs? Guy would not budge and they only had 3 standard cab long box trucks. Compared to the 90 or so extended or quads. For what I need is older budget lot. But going back them transmission issues rear their ugly heads.

As long as you aren't a radical, wealth-redistributing lefty...we'd love to have you!

Do your uses work for leasing?

Momma told me never to bring up 3 things......politics, religion or money and I’m already braking one. Lease payment wasn’t much better $447.... I’m going to look in the spring. Gotta lot of fracking boys up here and the standard work trucks are flying off the lots. No ones budgeing off of sticker too far. I can justify 400/425 but over 500 bucks for a no option truck sounds crazy.

I just bought a 3500 dually diesel Laramie. $1500 per month but I had a trade in and put a bunch down to soften the blow.

HOLY HELL! My mortgage is only $750 and I live in the fancy pants part of town. Hats off to you sir. My 00 ram needs some body work and brakes. I’ll put another 1500.00 in her and call it a day. That ol 318 sounds good as ever. Very angry I can’t have a new one in a stick.

They including a bottle of lube for that Harvey Weinstein act?

35k you can almost pick up a loaded big horn brand new. That interest rate is way too high too.

Wait I just read thats with 3k down.

They want 38k for the most basic truck Ram sells? You can easily get that truck 10k cheaper.

He could have 36 months financing. The monthly payment is the worst possible number to ever look at.

That drops it to 32 Credit is eh 650ish. Didn't qualify for their teir1 finance whipped me with a 6.47 and I wasnt going to let them ding me around. Bought my wifes Escape just to find out I had like 8 hard hits.Once again I'm getting jammed down the throat with only on the lot trucks . Why I'm going to shop around. This dealership has a 3 star rating so I had the lube ready.
