It's not something I use often and have needed to replace for a long long time and for the price I couldn't say no.

I picked up a Kobalt 450ftlb 1/2drive air impact wrench for $35 regular price at Lowes obviously . It is the light blue model, not the dark blue pro or whatever line they have. I wasn't expecting much but have been rather impressed for its compact size and ability for the price. I also have their 3/8 drive unit that I have yet to use though.
just thought I'd share the inexpensive tool that works pretty good for someone who generally uses the battery units but needs something smaller to get into tight places

The Earthquake line of impacts from Harbor Freight seem to get decent reviews.

I never thought Id say it, but Ive honestly just moved on to cordless tools. The Milwaukee Fuel high torque impact is a monster, I have the 3/8" Fuel impact as well, and want to pick up the mid-torque for the "in between" jobs.

I have Milwaukee everything.... well 18v everything, I want to start getting some of their smaller 12v stuff. But I needed more juice than what I had and the bigger ones wouldn't fit, so I figured I'd go buy a air impact to do the job. I lost all of my air tools years ago when my shop/ barn burnt to the ground, never had a need to replace them till now.

The M12 Fuel stuff is arguably better than the M18 stuff, because it has the power of old 18V stuff at 1/2 or even 1/3rd the weight. I have a good set of the M12 Fuel stuff too :)

I completely gutted and remodeled a bathroom with M12 tools (except M18 Fuel circ saw used to cut out the existing subflooring).

My buddy has the Milwaukee Fuel torque ratchet and that thing is awesome! I really want one but see the earthquake brand has good reviews too and they have their version of the ratchet on sale for $99 this month vs the $230 for the Milwaukee, I'm really torn on which one to get

Im not sure Id go with HF cordless tools.

I was referring to Earthquake air tools (honestly didnt realize they have Earthquake cordless now too, at a time Earthquake was pretty much limited to air impact wrenches only)

Home Depot website has the Milwaukee Fuel mid-torque kit for 199 (model 2861-21CT), its a decent deal.

I'm not a fan of HF stuff.. some stuff is ok but most is made as cheap as possible with the loosest of tolerances, decent for a use here or there kinda tool but not for constant hard use. HF has its place cause not everyone needs industrial grade tools and equipment.

Any tool you will use often is worth the extra money. Ive had plenty of HF tools over the years and some are good, some are not. My main tools I buy something with a little more braun, and my daily tools are high end.

Ya I agree. Just not really sure how much I would actually use it. It sure is handy to take the seat bolts in or out but hopefully once I'm done with this stereo system my seats will stay in the truck lol

My wife is a manager at HFT(harbor Freight Tools) the earthquake XT is the best one to get. I’ve got all of there impacts none of them have broken. 4years constantly using them. Now the 12V earthquake TX battery ratchet is ****** JUNK! Do not buy it! If any of y’all want to know if one of their products is any good shoot me a pm or just ask.
I build custom hot rods and drag cars. I have a Camaro running 9’s in the 1/4m. Built with 90% HFT tools.
I build custom guns in my spare time. NO THIS IS NOT A JOB ADVERTISEMENT. Just facts bout tools

I have a Ryobi 18V for most jobs. It's my second one since I left my old one on a job site for changing attachments on an excavator quicker. Still there and still works well, but I got the milwakee now for the bigger jobs and it's a monster. Rated at 1000 ftlb tighten and 1400 break out. It'll snap bolts pretty easy though so I try to only use it for bigger stuff that I used to use the 3/4" air for IMG_20180320_113510.jpg
