I haven't mastered my launch yet I've lost a couple close one's I may have won had I launched right. I hold the break at about 2000 rpm then release and go but I get excited on the throttle end up spinning or not catching soon enough. Id like to hear some advice from fellow hemi owners and see what success you have had

Brake stalling on street tires is just going to blow them off, try launching without loading or buy some drag radials or slicks.

Is this on the street or track? I assume since you used the word "dig" this is street racing?

I'm lousy at this but you have to do what is needed to get moving and not spin the tires. Power braking isn't going to get it done.

Power braking hurts performance... You'll either do it too long and the PCM will pull timing thus reducing power or you'll just blow the tires off.
My best 60's were just mashing the pedal off idle. On the street though, I left off the brake and ease the pedal to 5-10mph then floor it. Most of the time it works, but sometimes it'll still blpw the tires off.

Street racing but I would think its about the same for track minus having slicks

The track is prepped for traction and the street is clearly not..

You definitely need to roll into it with street tires, you can do the pedal mash and let the truck do it's thing which isn't bad actually, but I get my best launches by rolling into it then flooring it. I've tried every way to launch mine with the blower and power braking it a horrible way of doing it, even with the blower it's still fighting the factory need to pull timing and it bogs down big time. It sucks big time when I have 650rwhp and it'll pull a mid-14 because of how much timing was pulled.

Launching on the street is always changing. One time starting in 2nd it'll carry well through 1st and 2nd and the next time it'll not carry 2nd as well. Takes a lot of practice to understand how the truck will handle the run. I prefer the 2nd gear start, but manual shifting out of 1st is more predicable. Every truck is different.
