Just got my EGR flares on tonight. Just on for the night gotta run the clear tape underneath before the final install. These lock up tight and fit great. My only gripe is how crappy the prep job for the paint was. They had fake rivets originally attached which I removed helping to hold them on was a foam adhesive which pulled the paint from around a few of the holes. Luckily the powder coated bolt kit I ordered covered up most of the spots. Other than the half assed prep work these are very nicec2c022db7f059cb496872cf96032d08b.jpg4a379f8b5db318a3c07b8281774bd86f.jpg422a74c6bbd81a7a6aacf188d75ebf83.jpg

Rough country flares. Like how the front is a full flare, not stopping at the bumper

Some better daytime shots. My only real gripe is the wiper style rubber in the headlight cutouts. I could not get it to lay flat for the life of me.

I just installed smooth OEM style flares and HuskyLiners mud flaps on my 2013 1500 Express.

I bought flares for a 2500 because they don't come down as low in the front. I did have to bend the front tip (that extends near the headlight) to make them fit closer to the body. I used a heat gun and carefully worked them little by little until I got them where I wanted them. Be careful not to heat them too much, otherwise you can leave indents in the plastic when you go to bend them.

They didn't come with any protection for the truck's paint (rubber seal, etc). I thought about a few options including gluing thin rubber cord along the edge, running a bead of black silicone along the edge, or putting protective tape on the truck itself where the flare would hit. Glad I did a bit more searching because I found reasonably priced pre-made fender flare seal. Took my time getting it stuck onto the flare, and it looks way better than any freehand job I could have done.

The screws that came with the flares were pretty much useless. They were thinner than the stock ones so they didn't bite into the stock holes. I just re-used the stock screws for everything except the very top center hole. This hole doesn't have a screw stock, so you add a 'U' clip (included with flares) and screw in from there.

Seal (25' roll was perfect amount for all 4 flares. Would need a few extra feet if flares in front go all the way around the wheel well):

Mud Flaps: Got a good deal on these through Amazon Warehouse (basically their scratch and dent products). Only thing was the box had previously been opened and re-taped shut. Had all of the original hardware and not a scratch on any of the flares. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQIOGGA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

We'll see how the black holds up to the weather. Worst case is I can pull them off and plastidip or get them professionally painted if they start looking rough.

I put these on today, got them from paintedfenderflares.com (bushwacker knockoffs and cheaper!). Not a single blemish, they color match perfectly and were easy peasy to install with excellent fitment. Now I have some Bora 2" spacers on order to really set the stance up.
