Lift kit idea

So out of curiosity. I've pondered the idea of lifting my 08' 1500 and I was wondering is it possible for me to lift it using a stock suspension setup from a 2500 diesel? I found a 2500 in a salvage yard and I want to know if it would work or not. Anyone have any information on this?
