Anyone install this yet? Ripp superchargers claims they are running 440 rwhp and 470 rwtq with this installed and no issues. It is suppose to make clutch packs last under more load. Im skeptical.

Ive had one installed on my truck for about a year. I’m not going to claim it’s a magic fix but I’m running more power then most 3rd gens and my trans never had an issue. Less slippage/firmer clutch pressure=happy trans

People asked on Facebook recently and Jay Greene chimed in. Basically, yes it works as advertised but is handled with custom tuning on trucks newer than 2007 I believe. Would have to go back and read but he said it's worth it on the earlier years.

But yes, it does what it's supposed to do and it's a simple mod to install. There are old threads on here about it too. I researched quite a bit recently.

If you aren't tuned and aren't planning to add a tuner it would work as advertised.

Jay has also said the OE software in the '09+ ECM will eventually adjust itself and you'll lose most of the benefit of the increased line pressure.
Great point and I failed to capture that when reading.

Thanks for all of the info guys. I just bought an intune 2, so jay greene can tube my 545RFE tranny when he writes me a tune for my motor? Will the tune help my tranny hold up better to more power?

Vet, what gear ratio are you running with your 37s?

3:92 and it wont even spin them from a stop.
I hear ya. I recently went 4.56 front and rear and put in a Detroit LSD. Throws you back in your seat, that's for sure.

Jay worked wonders for my 545rfe in the tune. All I told him was I hated where it shifted. He made some adjustments and it's night and day better. You'll be pleased...
