Lowering back only

Hey guys, new here. I have a 05 ram 1500 slt. Its the single cab short bed. Looking to drop just the rear end 2 or maybe 3 inchs to level it out. Whats the best way to go about it? I cant realy find any kits online to do just the rear. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I believe your model year requires shackles, because of the leaf spring set up.

I don't have a lot of experience on that end.... maybe post this in the 3rd Gen Section?
You might get better amd more knowledgable feedback there....

Several companies makes 2" lowering shackles for your truck which will drop the rear end like you want. Before doing the drop on my truck, I had McGaughys drop shackles. They work well.

The McGaughy's gives you right about 2" on a quad cab truck. They say only 1.5" for a regular cab. No idea what the difference is tho since they use the same shackles.

The only difference is the weight of the truck, which compresses the suspension more. The components are exactly the same.

I did the same thing, but I think they were $45. They were Maxtrac.
