Personally i would level out the front, especially on a 4x4

One of the main reasons I think I might want to drop the rear 2" to match the front is because I can still get decent mpg that way and I won't have to buy new tires for it to look right. Don't get me wrong I love lifted rams but honestly I will never take it offroad to need the lift. My thought is that even if I "lower" the rear 2" I'm just matching the front so if the front can get through so can the back and I can still use the 4x4 for the maybe 2 times a year I might use it. Any pics anyone? Is there a company that makes just a rear drop for the 2012 quad cab?

I could and I've thought about it but I just like the fact of being able to put it back to stock if I ever wanted to for any reason.

I cut 1.5 rear coils off mine to get the level look. Doesn't really look lowered at all, just level.

I prefer the lowered rear look, as opposed to raising the front to level the truck as well.

i would love to lower my quad 4x4 as well, i need the 4x4 for winter but loading my sled into it sucks with the back so damn high. Still haven't seen a kit for the 4wheel yet.

Go for the drop! If it's only a level you want to do, then cutting the springs wouldn't be all that bad of an idea. Otherwise, I believe you can buy a 2" drop set for the rear.

Yeah, I don't know what I wanna do... lol I LOVE the look of these truck lifted but its expensive to lift it buy new tires and then on top of that your mpg goes down. For now I just want it level but in the near future like around the time when my stock tires are toast I think I really want a 4" lift.

Alright I need to get this 2" lowering for the rear. Mine sits wayy higher on the back I think it's because of a tow package. How would I get it like maybe 4 inches lower without cutting... Impossible? Or real expensive?

It should be illegal to drop a 4x4. So just check yourself into to Jail for 6 months for even thinking it.:)

You would be suprised at how many drag racers buy 4wd trucks and drop them for performance reasons. Traction can be very difficult in a powerful 2wd, so the best solution is a 4wd that sits low ot the ground.

Agreed. Seen one in action a few weeks back and it was mean.
