Well Steve you have more problems, your hose barb fittings are to small for the hoses. The hose I.D. is approx 1/2” and according to your “online instructions” the fitting is 3/8”npt x 3/8” hose barb. So even though I appeared to get the correct kit and parts I obviously didn’t because I cannot install it as delivered.

Question is what’s incorrect the fittings or the hose size?

Anyone know what size hose connects fits the engine connections?

:throw: Well, you are correct, the fittings are not the correct ones. We looked at our kitting instructions for the warehouse after seeing your post and the description of the part was correct, but the part number was a digit off. So, instead of 3x8" NPT x 1/2" fittings, 3x8 NPT x 3/8" fittings were supplied. I have a pile of the correct fittings that will be over-night shipped out to everybody today.

I truly do apologize for these issues everybody. I can assure you, this is not how we normally operate and we're working day and night to correct the problems.

-Steve

Hey everybody,

The correct fittings should be going out this afternoon with overnight shipping, so everybody should have them tomorrow.

If you PM me your order number, I can send you the tracking number for the fittings.

Thank you all for your patience and I apologize again for the issues.

Everything looks to all be there. I appreciate Steve and his sincerity and response to make things right. I hope to get it installed this weekend after deer hunting. Oh, and the fittings are correct.

Got a call from Mishimoto this morning. Fingers crossed that all is well this time around.
I will say that even though there have been problems with the order, they have all been very responsive. I have had issues with other companies where they avoid you like the plague. At least Mishimoto is owning the mistakes and working to make it right.

I totally agree. They do seem to be trying to fix it asap. I too have had issues with other vendors that couldn't care less about you once they had your money in their hand.

Of all the catch cans on the market for our truck, mainly billet technologies and this one I wish there was a catch can that looked as clean as this one with a drain at the bottom. I had a RX 1LE Catch Can (the REAL RX Catch Can company, there are some fake Chinese knock offs) on my Camaro, that was customized to match the color of the car and was mess free with a drain at the bottom.

Unfortunately I just saw this thread and it looks like I missed the pre-sale...

imstalled

Pretty easy install. I thought of detailing an install, but their video is as good as any.

One tip I have, is to take the can apart first before installation and put a dab of oil on the O ring. Because, I found once installed, was near impossible to take the can off. It was a tight fit.

So what is the consensus of this can vs billet's can? Looking to get one soon and would love to know everyone's opinion.

I can't say for comparison, because I have never had one before. But this is well built and is tapped where you could add a drain valve if desired.

Finally installed mine today, I used a 90deg fitting for one of the hoses to kinda tuck it away. I also had to wrap the can in a towel and place in vise to remove it. I then oiled the o-ring seal and tightened the can back by hand with normal force.

Does this product void the warranty on your new ram 5.7 Hemi with the Chrysler company. what if the dealer looks and finds this on your truck and notes it on his report any answer to that because the warranty on the engine is a costly repair without it

All I can tell you is no one anywhere on this forum has reported that kind of trouble with the dealership....

I forgot about this thread, just as an update it’s been 18 months and the catch can is still doing its job, no issues or complaints.
