It is “basically “ a 2500 with a leaf removed. I don’t know exactly with spring. I’ve heard rumors that the gearing is different and the (Hemi) motor is tuned different........ I haven’t really researched the truth to this.

I know in the megacab, to my knowledge none use mds. Mine doesn’t.

Got ya..... LOL!

You are correct the Mega (which means the 2500 & 3500 Trucks) doesn’t have that system.

The truck are too heavy and the v6 mode would kill it even cruising from what I hear. Plus I definitely wouldn’t want it towing because it would kick in/out so often.

Made it by the shop today and got my rear pipe bent and installed. I hated the look so bought a bolt on style tip. I’m not feeling the securement but it’ll do for now.
I found a better one that’s more direct fit for about $70 online that I’ll replace it with later but this one looks good for now. Not that anyone can keep up to see it ,HAHA! [emoji23]

Next: Dual steering dampener setup, and new (stock) front bumper but bedlined to match the rear.

I’ll get to cleaning the rust one day. It’s not a huge priority. Photo lighting makes it look worse.

Ok guys, you can rest easy at night now.. new front bumper is ordered [emoji23]

Should be in next weekend and I will have to check this weekend to see if I have enough Bedliner mix otherwise I’ll have to order that too. I’ll be ordering new fog light bezels and the step pad too while I’m at it. I’ve been thinking of doing something unique with lights on it similar to the rear bumper but not led pods. Maybe some kind of markers/turn signals

I deliver local tommorow so I got to stay at home tonight. Figured I would finally finish up my cb antenna bracket I fab’d up.

It’s just steel plate that I cut to be slightly taller than my headache rack bar, then drilled four holes and on one part I made the area for the antenna stud. I used a chop saw, bench grinder, drill press, and a Lincoln flux welder. Not too shabby. I added felt to one side of each piece so they will grip the rack better and also not mess up the finish on the rack or bracket.

The bolts are slightly too short that I have. I set it up for a photo though. This is how it will mount. Hopefully being between the cab and rack, the SWR won’t be ridiculous. If needed I can get a shorter antenna and mount to the top bar but I really don’t want it that out there. I like how it blends in being down lower. You just see the tip sticking a little above the cab (Really all that matters)

Some more photos of the mount (If you notice, there seems to be a shiny new front bumper that arrived today [emoji2960])

I’ll get longer bolts this weekend. I’m supposed to be off Thursday-Sunday. I believe my dad has a black, 3 foot firestik antenna on his semi. If so, since his semi is red I’m sure I can convince him to trade for my red, 3 foot firestik. I run red on my semi, but I think red antenna on a blue pickup a tacky and looks like my truck is pretending to be Spider-Man or something...

Traded antennas with my dad. His was a Francis antenna and slightly taller but it works out better for me. It’s skinnier so it gives more clearance from touching.

Little close but it should work and I should be able to reach in there enough to attach the coax cable

Little family trip this weekend. My grandma can’t come to town with her health so we took the party to her (Literally. We brought the whole setup to her [emoji23]) Longest trip I’ve done I believe, with pulling the trailer. Barely notice its back there really.

168b7ae591a553ca0edbaea4609f27b4.jpg

I’m taking a week of vacation next week. I may get a chance to bedline the new front bumper, but I don’t think it’ll go on until I have the new fog light bezels and such because the old lights are broken and just sit in there currently (From my uncles accident)

Going to finally get around to primer and paint on my new drivers door too I think. And sand down the new fender that got rusty and prime/paint it or just wait and order another fender and paint it before the factory primer wears off this time and bolt it up.

I’ve also figured out my CB mounting but it requires cutting the back of a dash pocket so the radio can sit further in and be completely flush with the rest of the dash. Not sure how to get that part out to make the cut yet plus I’m a little unhappy with doing it even though it can be replaced.

Haven’t done hardly anything truck related. I did finally unbox my bumper and scuff the paint so it can be bed-lined. My roller that came with the kit was trashed and I didn’t have a spare on hand so I didn’t apply any but I will try next weekend when I get back from work. Should get atleast one full coat on the front and I may have to buy more.

Been playing around with a high end camera I acquired. Haven’t had a chance to take the truck anywhere yet but got this shot that I thought looked pretty cool

Waiting on the new roller to arrive next week so that I can start Bedliner on my front bumper. Got these nifty shots though while doing a little photo shoot with a friend.

Had a small coolant leak that was coming from behind the filler neck. Figured it was just the gasket so I didn’t order a thermostat. Found out when I pulled it, that a rubber piece on it had gotten messed up... sucked. Had to buy aftermarket when I was going to order a factory mopar. Got the best one advance had though and the temp is the same. No leaks and no overheating so far.

Did the first coat of bedliner on the new front bumper. I’m going to do a total of 3 on the front and 3 on the back. I may do a second coat tommorow night. Definitely going to let the final coat harden for a week before I flip it over to do the backside then let the final coat on the backside sit for a week to harden before putting it on the truck.

That gives me time to order new shrouds for my fog lights, AND new fog lights. Going to get some projector style with led halos and run some of those nicer bulbs that give white light instead of that yellow crap.

Finally got the tint strip on my front windshield.
It’s all legal and 5% darkness. Just that little bit helps SO much in this hot ass southern weather.. it’s amazing (I also went with ceramic tint)

It’s all fun and games until you sink to the axle at 2am [emoji23]
4LO and a little gas pedal persuasion and it crawled its way out though.
I LOVE the bfg m/t’s. They will either get you un-stuck or dig a hole straight to China. It honestly didn’t take but a matter of seconds for my axle to hit. They clear dirt/sand/mud in no time. Good times... good times. I wasn’t legit off-roading, just cruised down the power lines to lay back and enjoy the peace and quiet for a bit and was on my way out.

Hauled a tractor earlier today for my son. I was a little worried I may be over weight capacity [emoji1787]

Ordered more bedliner for the front bumper and it came in, but I ran all day today and haven’t opened the box. Hopefully it will get a second coat this coming weekend. I’m anxious to get it on then hopefully mess some more with my new door. Been busy busy

The OEM replacements from autozone just don’t seem to last like they should and get sloppy.

So...... trying these out.

They’ll go on next weekend sometime (when they arrive) and hopefully I’ll get around to unboxing bedliner and put some more coats on the front bumper.

Been rather busy
