Need help finding 13.5 JL Slims enclosure

im probably going to buy 2 of JL's 13.5 slims but i wanted to find boxs for them to go under the rear seats, did some searchs and couldnt find anything other than custom build sites, any ideas?

yeah, thats definitely going to be a custom setup there. 12s, you can find PLENTY for, but not 13.5s.

Skip the 13.5 JL slims, one they are over priced because. Two your going to have to have a custom box. I suggest getting 12"s and putting them in a Fox Acustics box, google it. Its the best made custom box for dodge ram that fits under the seats.

They have designed the boxes to have more air space then PROBOXs edition by almost double!

You could always fiberglass a center console enclosure and use just 1 13TW5. The load off the floor from the downfire design is really good in these trucks. Plus, you get to keep your rear under seat area for tools and whatnot.

If you really want to use the 13.5"s go for it, but I wouldn't recommend it nor would I do it.

I had a prefab box, it sounded ok, but there is a gigantic improvement with my custom box, and new sub, but same amp. I would compare the specs on the 13's to the 12's. make sure they go below 23hz. They have a smaller footprint, so they should fit in the storage compartments.

the only JL's i respect where the old school W6's...i had 3 15w6's dual v-coils i cracked my windsheld in my bronco....get some old school W6's..

yea i figured it would be custom. the only reason i was considering these is because this guy had bought them before we deployed and when we got back he got 2 w7's and hes gona sell me the 2 slims for 400$ and there pretty much brand new. Do you think i if buy a premade box for the underseat compartments and just shave off a little bit all the way around that it will mess with the integrity of the box? and if i run 2 500/1 would my one battery power both with no problem?

Running the 2 500/1 shouldn't be a problem. I do recommend using a pretty decent battery though (Optima, Die Hard Platinum, etc). As for shaving the box a bit, that "could" work, as long as you have pretty close to the .80cuft recommended you will be ok. I had one of these in my last Ram, and I definitely recommend them. In the correct enclosure, they hit every bit as good as the 12W6 I'm using now. Good luck!
