The yellow wire is the constant. It is the one that should get 12 volts all the time. This is what give your radio its “memory”. Either it’s still not hooked up correctly, or something is wrong with the radio. There also could be an inline fuse on the yellow wire to the radio, but I doubt it.

Did you buy a vehicle harness for your truck too? If so it should be as simple as matching up the colors. Yellow to yellow and red to red etc.

Well no luck i went to best buy to buy the harness thats for the truck. Connected yellow to yellow red to red and the radio will keep memory but dosent reboot when i turn the truck on and off it just stays at the same spot where i left it. So i did yellow to red and red to yellow and the radio reboots like it is suppose to but loses memory. Ive got a headache from this radio. Ive been putting stereos in for along time. Bye the way this an android double din from ebay.

You’re gonna need to get in there with a multimeter and check your power wires. The yellow wire should have 12v all the time. The red wire should have 12v only when the key is in acc or run position. If both of these are right and it’s still not working correctly, you have a defective radio.

What did you mean when you said the radio doesn’t reboot when you turn the truck on and off it just stays at the same spot you left it? Do you mean it never turns off at all or something?
