Quad Cab or regular cab? 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive? Gears in it from the Factory?

All stated above is correct. Also depends on what care has been taken with the truck, like plugs and other rutein maintance.

Yeah that small motor will be sucking gas to get a 1500 to move.. the hemis get the best mileage out of all the gas motors.

Ewww....why get rid of CTD? And I'm not sure a V6 is gonna increase mileage very much...RF?

EDIT: Diesel prices, I'm guessing...yeah, it sucks. And it looks like the V6 mileage question has been answered. Good luck in your search.

If it's a hemi it's prob LSD 3.55, so what I said up there will prob be the right ballpark.

Yup True story. Should have tried to keep the CTD. By far they get the best mileage. At least you don't have a 5.9 that is the only motor I can think of that will get negative gas mileage.

haha i didn't want to burden anyone else with it. they'd probably come back for me w/ a gun lol. i was fine with having to replace the pump, but once they said it'd be 7500$ to repair everything else, i figured it was time to say goodbye. how much is it to get the gears changed to a better mileage rate?

Don't think so. I'm pretty sure you can run 87 in there. I wouldn't expect to hit the 20 mark though with the hemi. I haven't seen anybody get that high even on highway with a tail wind and a downhill slope. But I have a true gas guzzler so i don't know for sure.

Factory Reccomends 89 Octane, I use premium because its the best mileage for the money, but I have a tune. And your 08 should have MDS so i would expect the highway to be a few better than 17.
