Not a cosmetic mod to the Judge but a mod to help prolong her battery life.

My new 6.7L CTD Ram in most cases sits for most of the weeks (5 Days @ a time) some times longer due to I have a company work truck.

With the proven slow drain on both batteries with All the electronic draw within these trucks now days. I wanted to hopefully prolong the life of both batteries for at least 1-2yrs.

So this idea popped up with the help from a friend on YouTube.

When the truck is parked in the garage for days on end. Both batteries are hooked up to the Genius G750.
Plans are have 1 dedicated G750 per battery. Both batteries have permanent hookups for the G750. Just raise hood & plug in.

Still have some work to do to clean up the project. Ordered 1/4 wireloom to Incase all the G750 wire.

During the cold winter months it will be piece of mind knowing I’m going out with Both Batteries fully charged!

De Badged the drivers side this morning.
Still to cold outside to give her a long detailed bath.
Applied 3 coats of Chemical Guys Jet Seal over the de badged area.

I would do the passenger side today but my fingers are almost bleeding due to peeling the adhesive backing from the truck clear coat.

Update: 3/13/18 @ 5:03pm
Ram is De-Badged! All but rear Ram on tailgate & both Cummins badges up front on both sides.

Dam my fingers are Raw/Cut/Blistered. It’s all good The Judge looks much better.

It is an amazing product.
I even use it on the windows! It works similar to rain-x but Zero streaking.

I was really really wanting to have one of the ceramic coatings put on the clearcoat but asking around and prices it was going to cost over $1000 to do my truck.

I honestly feel this is the next best thing.
My son tells me it is best to leave it on after you apply it for at least an hour and then remove.
The longer it sits the stronger the application I guess.

I did apply 2 coats of the CG Liquid Carnauba extreme depth x seal first then the jet seal.

Then for quick touch ups after future washes I will spray (apply) w/micro-fiber towel:——V07 from CG.

My son is very versed in their products & is giving me guidance.

The paint is so deep & smooth now. It’s really amazing.
I cannot wait until the temperature is above 70 most the time where I can do the whole truck.

They have so many products now it is literally crazy trying to pick and choose what works best for you. I’m fixing to order some inner fender dressing as well as tire dressing.

I even use the jet seal on my headlights to keep the lenses from fading as well as somewhat repel water & road yuck.

The best scenario would be from what I’ve been told use a Claybar first then apply your wax then apply the sealant.

I think I will begin replacing all the lug nuts with Gorilla Lugs: Just for that piece of mind while towing the new family 5th wheel.

I will say one more thing: When the kids are done with college and PT school.
The Judge will be going into the Detailer for a Ceramic Coating. It will well be over $1K and I just can't justify that right now... Kids come first. My detail plan will protect her clear coat and paint until then. Keeping in the garage 3/4 time helps more then most know.

She will never roll black smoke & disrespect the diesel community.
She will be her own & not like all the rest.
She will display the Demonico Red & Chrome like no other.
She will not carry much bling but Sleek & Easy on the eyes.

Chemical guys gets quite a bit of hate in the detailing world for whatever reason, but the results of there products speak for themselves and they are legit on there prices. My truck is 100% chemical guys products and went 9 years of autowashes and terrible home washing techniques like 1 bucket and a old cotton t shirt to wash with..... and i finally saw my terrible ways, went balls in on chemical guys and you can see my 11 year old plain white paint look pretty damn good now. There is a before pic of the swirls before V36 V38. Jetseal is absolutely amazing, last way longer then other sealants and is darn tough, not to mention the beautiful gloss it adds...

Sorry SYN didnt mean to hijack lol just agreeing that there products are amazing

No worries Mate!

Yup When you create great products there are always other (Fine Folks) who can’t compete & jealous & begin to bad mouth you.

See that in Little League sports all the time! :argue:

Removed wrap on passenger side this morning.
Butter Wax/Jet Seal applied.

All De-Badging is complete to MY liking.

Now to focus on New Rearend Cover & running RL to replace the FF.

Even though the new ceramic coatings are becoming extremely popular and are showing to be worth while.
I just can’t justify spending that type of money.

Plus I’m kind of old-fashioned.
I enjoy spending a weekend in a hot garage in just a pair shorts and sandals and drinking cold cold beer and waxing/sealing my vehicles. It also helps to have a Big A$$ Fan!!

Maybe when I’m using a walker to get around and the kids are all grown and on their own.
I will pay somebody to apply one of these high and ceramic coatings to my new RAM.
Until then I like doing it myself.
I also like to drink beer to dam much. There are still some of us left who take a lot of pride in doing stuff ourselves anymore.

Much better without the vinyl tape! I guess black is the only color that doesn't come with that tape from the factory. I personally think it shouldn't be on ANY color Ram but that's me.

Just Jet Sealed my truck over the weekend and my God does it shine! Beads water like crazy as well!

I look at that tape as a paint protector for closing your door when it's dirty, but I'm sure that's not why it's there lol I would take it off also looks great without

Just started thinking: that cheesy a$$ wrap probably added $250 to the cost & I just threw it away in the little trash can in the garage!

Ah what the ****!
I feel so much better having it off there.
I won’t wake up @ 3am Thinking about it know more.

After the foam adhesive is removed. Hopefully you were lucky enough to remove most of it off the clear coat.
This product with a microfiber cloth & a bit of rubbing does an amazing job removing all the sticky goo left behind.

I do go back over with a dab of Goo-Gone then soap/H2O rinse then wax.

I want to say this about the previous post above:
I never have or will —->Jerk/Yank/Running Start on a stuck Auto. It’s always been take up all the slack then apply power. (In a civilized manner)

I am not going to cause damage to my own auto while attempting to pull out another auto.
If I can’t pull the auto out, I will offer to take the owner to a warm location close by. (Especially if there are kids present).

This is only something I have done 4-5 times in my whole life.
I will stop to offer help.
I only like being some what prepared to help.

We don’t receive a lot of snow here. Mostly a mixture of snow/ice!
It just amazes me of the number of owners who are just flat out lazy & not prepared for anything.

Last time towing this road hog (Thank You Jesus)!

Ready to unload & take back to yard! No more bumper pulls.

Other pic is temps 2 hours into the horrific adventure.
This last trip the scale showed Loaded trailer was around 13Klbs. 94°F & 25mph crosswinds.

Major upgrade this afternoon: Didn’t know if I could pull it off or not.

I hated fueling up The Judge this spring loaded flap @ check ball valve made adding diesel additives & simple fueling suck Balls!

Removed the spring behind the main flap. Getting the flap back in place just to hang was a decent challenge. You can’t just pull the flap out.

Now fueling & adding additives is much easier & actually enjoyable.
