New 2018 2500 Cummins Mega, break in

Just picked up my new truck yesterday at 20 miles. Put another 200 on it driving home, averaged 21mpg. I haven't read the manual yet, any break in routine I should know about?

Don't tow before 500 miles, the gears have to settle in. During the 1st 500 miles of towing or driving with a heavy load don't exceed 55 mph. This is to let everything settle in properly.

I got all my info from the driver's manual. It say the engine is ready to go out the box, it's just the transmission and gears. There was also something mentioning about going 'highway' speed or something for like the for 200 miles. I did, but didn't have any problems. I coasted and didn't step on it or do any pulls.

Yeah manual says no towing before 500 then tow heavy after 500.

Yeah, it's hanford. I worked with Paul, fleet manager good pricing, no b.s. I did everything over the phone and went and picked it up. It's the end of the month he is motivated.

Nice truck!! My previous Hemi 4x4 was that color......then a semi truck smashed the rear of it and finished it off.
