I have an '07 Dodge 4x4 crew cab. It has stock P265 tires on it. I'd like to be able to go to a tire roughly 35". I know some of the metric sizes don't work out to exactly 35", but maybe something like a P315??? What would I need to do to the truck to fit this size tire? I want a little clearance after mounting the new tires. I don't want the tires to look like they are "stuffed" under the fender.
- Would a 2.5" leveling kit do the job or would I need to go all the way around with a full lift. Maybe 6" in front and 4" in rear? Again, I'm new at this so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also any recommendations of lifts (inexpensive as possible as I don't "wheel" the truck. It's mainly just for looks), and recommendations on some "on/off road tires.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. You will be able to fit 35's with a leveling kit. If you want to go also with a wider tire on the stock rim, you will need spacers, unless you go with new rims with appropriate offset. I don't know alot of info on this, but hope this helps. :)

Yes wendy is correct, a leveling kit should fit the 35" tires for the width I will revert to some one else as she said

Thanks for the help so far. I plan to stick with the stock rims. So would the tires be 35x12.5x17?

Thanks.

you will need wheel spacers to fit a 12.50 wide tire. also with just a level 35's will have a stuffed look to them. i would suggest a 3" body lift and level if you dont want the 35's to look stuffed.
in my sig pic i have 33's and just a level to give you an idea. im not getting 35's till i get a body lift, but its just personal preference i guess i dont like the stuffed look

I'm with you. I don't like the "stuffed" look either. I want some clearance no matter what size tire I have. I'm also not crazy about body lifts though, so I might should stick with 33's.

Yes, I do have a 2500. I'm just not sure what size tires it will clear in stock form. In my opinion there looks like a lot of space left under the fender by the stock P265's.

i should pay more attention. i thought you had a 1500. i would think on a 3/4 ton with a level, it would look great with 35's
my neighbor has a 2500 and it sits up a bit more than mine stock height

i agree on the 2500, just a level will look good with 35's. I don't know enough about stock backspacing on HD wheels to be able to say what width tires will fit.

On a stock 2500 you can fit 35's no problem and a 2500 sits 3" higher than a 1500

I'm thinking I might order the 2.5" leveling kit and get some 35's down the road. The P265's that are on it now are like new.

So when you all refer to 35's, do you mean tires that are actually sized 35x12.5x17 (or something similar) or would I actually be buying a metric size- say P315's that are approximately 35" tall? What would the actual tire size read? Incidentally, I do plan to stick with the stock wheels.

315's are a 35

So if you want a 35x12.5 you will need a 315/75

305/75 is just under 35s and should only rub in a full lock turn.

Do you think 325/60/20 would rub on stock 07?

yea they will not fit. Height and width of tires are a problem. You would need to level the front and get wheel spacers.

At least 2" each?
Or 2" level and about 1 1/2" wheel spacers?
