Hi guys thanks for adding me . Got a few fast questions . Ive got 5 dodges all 94-02 . I use them for work . So my son has an 01 and mine are all older. I noticed he can change his rotors without taking the wheel bearings out . I am ready for new brakes and was wondering if i can upgrade my older 94 to the newer setup so i can do the rotors without ripping the bearings out . Anyboby know whats needed to upgrade to the newer stuff .

Also will my 99 trans fit in my sons 01 . They are all 2500 4x4

Thanls guys

The trans will fit just fine, you'll need to change out two things in the valvebody though. Gov pressure sensor and solenoid if I remember right.

I've found a lot of people will look and not comment for a variety of reasons I won't go into as its not fair to make accusations against the general member. Largely we are just busy, sometimes i'll go a week without saying anything.

Overall, there are a lot of knowledgeable people on here and a small but decently sized group of people i'd consider experts. They come around a bit but seem to be rather busy as of late.

Overall, there are a bunch of us on here who have turned wrenches both in our backyards and professionally. I know of two other master certified mechanics besides myself on here.

You might take a stroll around some of the sections and look at some of the builds and projects on here. Lots of information catalogued here, you just have to know how to use the search function.

Not quite as familiar with the 2500 assembly however i do know if you swap out the knuckles and everything leading up to that with 00+ parts it'll match your sons 01. Ball joints included

This is not possible. The 94-99 use a different knuckle setup than the 00-02 Dana 60s.

There are two options the op has. 1st is a complete axle swap which will require the sway bar as well. 2nd is the Ford outer swap which gets the added benefits of a lockout hub.

You saying you cant install a 00+ knuckle on a 94-99 axle?

Correct. They changed the 00+ axles to opposing ball joint angles and the axle inner C holds the ball joint. The earlier axles, the outer C holds the ball joint.

Ah gotcha. I was unawares. Like i mentioned earlier, not as familiar with 2500/3500 specific stuff. 1500s you can swap knuckles to convert everything from the outer c out

Yea no worries. I have a truck with each of the series of Dana 60. The 97 sucks for brakes but the ball joints are nice haha.
