Working get this new to us 2004 1500 2WD in shape, and wondering what thoughts are on the value of an aftermarket rear differential cover - and if so, what ones are recommended, etc? Planning to change the diff fluid - and debating changing the rear axle bearing/seals since we'll have the cover open anyway - so since the "while we're at it" is setting it started thinking about changing the cover as well to an upgraded one.
Is there any material benefit for a larger capacity cover on a 2WD 1500? Other than convenience factors with the ones that have a drain plug, and a magnetic check plug, etc?

Unless you’re going to be pulling s trailer a lot I don’t see a benefit in spending the money.
