Im new to the ram scene and to the whole lifting scene.

i was wondering which kit is over all the best and has all the necessary pieces.

I want a kit that has everything and for a decent price. I don't want to buy a kit and have to buy extra parts on the side.

i saw a kit with n2.0 strust and the Bilstein setup. which is better?

mostly road and a little dirt/off roading

2014 ram 1500 5.7 4x4 towing package. 3.92 gear blk on blk 20inch sport wheels

thanks

Rough Country makes a decent lift for what your needs are. I have one on my 09. Zone also has a lower budget lift and a good reputation. If you really want to spend money and get the best lift, look into BDS.

what's your budget?
What size tires/wheels are you wanting to install?

what about super lift ? and for now i was just thinking the sport wheels with 33's or 35's nothing to crazy i want to do the lift first.

i was looking at super lift and they come with the Bilstein for front and rear

Rough Country is much better lift in my opinion. My buddy has Super lift on his and his a$$ end squats pretty bad when hooked to trailer or put any kind of weight in it. I hook to same trailer and mine doesn’t squat at all. I love the ride on my RC. Honestly do your list RIGHT and do it ONCE instead of level kit then add spacers to rear and anything like that. Buy a complete lift. Not worth saving a buck in my opinion. It will get you later.

i was researching and reading around.. i want to do the full 6'' inch lift

i saw bds and zone and saw that they would use Bilstein for the front and rear.

the superlift has a opition that comes both already for around $1500

If i get bds which extra parts do i need and same goes with the zone.

i want my truck lifted 6'' and leveled.

Not sure what kind of weight your buddy had on the hitch but with 500 lbs on the hitch my truck w/3” Superlift coils handles the weight WAY better than the stockers, no case of the squats at all.

Superlift 6” is same as 4” they just crank the Bilsteins up, only difference in Parts is the rear coils and rear brackets. Go look at the Parts list instructions online and compare, it’s a good kit with many members here with it.

Bds or Zone you don’t need any extra Parts with 6” lift but choose the optional fox rear shocks or at least the nitrogen shocks. It uses factory front struts so it will ride same as it does now. Again, many members here have these you really can’t go wrong

Can't complain about my Rough Country lift.

Same here. The ride is good on my 4th gen, only have about 200 miles on it since I bought it so no clue about longevity yet, but my 3rd gen I had rough country on it for 5 years and 40k miles with zero issues. Rode great as well.

so the zone 6'' with 5" Rear Spring w/Nitro Shocks comes out to $1,760.95

and the super lift 6" with the front and rear bilstein comes out to $1,814.30

it cost $389.99 for the front bilstein if i get the zone and switch out the struts. seems to me its better to go with super lift ?

For what it's worth, one of the reasons I went Zone was to take advantage of its UCAs. I was going to do this whether I went Zone or BDS (both owned by Fox). I don't know anything about Superlift, but I can tell you I have no problems with my Zone setup and Billstein struts. My rear Billsteins were replaced with Nitro shocks (as part of the Zone package) and I see a nominal improvement in the back. I could dig up cost if you want for comparison.

I’ve got a Superlift 4” with 35’s on my 2014 1500 & no regrets, the kit came with everything I needed, Bils & rear springs. It cost around $1100 last year with the holiday sales so shop around and use price matching. I didn’t want 37” tires so I stayed with 35” & 4” lift.

I've had Rancho lift kits on my '78 Bronco, '93 Bronco, and '98 RAM 2500... My new 2012 RAM has a monster front bumper and more than just a little sag... I am going to trim some of the weight off the bumper so I can install a winch. I called Rancho and they have a 6" front/4" rear lift package that I am most likely going to get.

I see a lot of other lifts mentioned, anyone have a better than average reason to go with one over the other??
