new truck.. got some questions

i just picked up an 04.5 with a 6 inch lift..

-what tuner would you guys recommend for towing? all it has now is a MBRP exhaust, i was thinkin smarty but its pricey.

-are intakes worth it? if so which ones should i look into?

-any quick tips and tricks i should do?

-can i get it to smoke without buying adding anything? (sounds *** i know but i love when common rails lay a cloud)

they love to breathe so a intake is key, tuning a diesel is even better. smarty,bully dog,etc

I like my adrenalin quadzilla with PV2 , lets me monitor everything

I also like my AFE intake ... much cleaner

And the less smoke the better ... means you are using all your fuel and not just burning it . No smoke means you are running perfect .

As for the smoke issue you need to add a tuner and/or injectors to make use of a bit a smoke. The problem is CR injectors are a bit pricey and tuners are too but you got to becareful of your rail pressure too.

i was thinkin either that or the smarty, might go with the quadzilla tho.. just gotta hold out a bit cause the trans will go shortly after adding the tuner.. slipped once on me already

I am sooo glad I do not have to worry about the trans ..

And I have heard smarty is good also . My AD came in the truck I just updated it to the PV2 display . LOVE it
