new truck order delivery time

hi guys

anyone know the current delivery time from ordering a truck to arrival?

i just ordered a 18 2500 cummins g56 today....

2016 hemi 6.4 is too thirsty, and the auto trans is making me think about checking into a mental hospital. love the truck otherwise.

when i ordered my 16 it was 6 weeks on the dot.

I ordered a Power Wagon about Oct 20th. Built October 30th and shipped. The dealer says it could be any day now... The dealer says it gets to the main city pretty fast by train and then it sits for a few weeks while they arrange transport to the dealer.

SPP on Ram Forumz can give you an estimate. He works for FCA & if you give him your VIN# he can tell you where it is at on the line. I found it helped the waiting process.

As I understand it, there really isn't any place on the line. They are built in less than a day. But knowing what day it was built is always helpful.

For the most part that is true. I think most of it depends on how often he updates the page. I have seen updates that say "ready to go down the line", "going down the line", "in paint", & something like "outside vendor" where they do bed liners & such. He also keeps you updated on when it was loaded & unloaded on the train, & then the final leg of transportation. It's enough to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Mine was delivered in four. As said, it can add a week or so if you have a bedliner and or side steps that need to be installed.

Last i checked SSP was MIA. Not sure if he's back now.

Mines sitting in Portland. Oregon. The train ride is over, now it just needs to be trucked to Eastern Oregon. Could be today, could be 2 weeks from now...

5 weeks, 3 days. 2500 4X4 Cummins. It came from Mexico into Denver, then to SD.

Ordered a 3500 CC 6.4 Tradesman on Oct 31st.
It was built by 11/17 and was in status KZM (first rail departure from Saltillo) as of this past Monday.
ETA in western Colorado is 12/4 - 12/10


btw, if you use the "live chat" feature on this website, and give the last 8 numbers of your VIN, they will look up the status of your build in real time.
The build will have to be in "D" status in order to been assigned a VIN, but the dealership can let you know as soon as that happens. Just a few days after you put down the deposit usually.

Nice times for delivery, i was recently told the 2018 2500 cummins, mc, 4wd i want to order will prolly fall to anywhere between 10-12 weeks or perhaps longer due to a few items being out of stock,

I know im new here but wondered if u guys got any great deals as far as price goes for doing a build?

My mc 2500 is basically fully loaded laramie minus dual alternators and 5th wheel option, and it was about 58k,
But had to buy it from another state, just wondered if others had a better experience on price?
