Just picked up 2013 Ram Sport yesterday and I already have a long list of Mods I want to do. First starting with replacing the stock antenna. Any suggestions on good replacement that isn't ugly like the stock one?

Cheers,
Paul

Most of the stubby antennas will effect FM reception but if you dont mind that we do offer this black billet torque solutions antenna that looks pretty trick

I took my stock antenna off, removed the end ball with pliers, cut it to my desired length, filed the cut edge down, replaced ball on top, painted black. Radio reception is just fine and total cost was $0.00

Thanks Nick! I do care about reception, do you have any options that doesn't effect the reception?

Just a reminder, the stock antenna is an inch or two higher than the truck for a good reason. If you hear the antenna start to scrape when entering or going under something, STOP! Personally, I really don't understand why there's so much hatred of the stock antenna. The only thing I did to mine was to spray paint it black. And if you don't want to do that yourself, you can even buy a stock length black one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TA3FML0

I believe the hatred towards the stock antenna , is the drive through car wash.

That is why I took mine off. Just put a stainless screw in place of it to plug the hole.

Anyone know if the HD Radio works off of this AM/FM antenna or is it tied into the
Satellite radio?

My wife's Liberty has HD, but not satellite so I'm pretty certain it uses the normal mast antenna.

Just makes me scratch my head, our journey has Sirius and has one small antenna on the roof like our rams do. But my truck has nav/Sirius/HD radio and it has 2 antennas. Wonder why they couldn’t just use the roof antenna for everything.

I have The Stubby Antenna by CravenSpeed. No issue with reception and I live in the city/suburban area. I've seen them for sale around $15-25. Looks good and doesn't effect reception when im driving around town, for long trips I listen to Satellite radio.
