O/D question

Alright so i am wondering what the difference is on my 07 qc 5.7 when i turn on the tow/haul VS. O/D off. what is the actual difference between these two. is the tow/haul going to give me better torque?

Tow haul mode changes the shift points. It will stay in a lower gear longer and downshift to help braking. It will go into od in tow haul mode. Od off is simply that. Nothing else changes but it will not shift into od.
