I've always wondered how much fine mist still makes it to the intake plenum even with an OCC installed .
Can you post a picture of your particular setup ?

not an easy task from my engine compartment. Hoses running everywhere. But it's straight forward. Same layout from the BT can but the out line from the BT connects to the V2 Can inlet side. Top fitting of the V2 connects to the intake manifold port. The V2 Comes with another bracket for the trucks that allow you to mount the can on the passenger side top radiator support. I think the pics, although can be a little confusing, give a good idea of the layout if you can follow the hoses. There's always some oil/water in the V2 catch basin, and the Green filter is always saturated in oil. So from the BT can the air flows to the bottom inlet of the V2 gets sucked through the stainless steal medium, flows to the V2 basin, then pulled up to the top through a large center hole which the green filter mounts on. no air can pass to the intake without going through the green filter last.
In all fairness, I have 3 cans. I never remove the BT Can, just empty whats in it. On every oil change, I remove the V2 can and install the standby ready to go. Saves me time. You could just get another green filter to swap saving the time to clean and dry the old filter. Also, I never, from day one, used the twist lock system. hence the rtv. I just clean the 2nd can at my leisure and have it ready for the next swap out. On my next oil change, I'll post some pics of what's in it and the filter layout. Believe me, lot's of fine misty stuff makes it past the first can. the first can just get's the heavy stuff. It could be that the V2 can would do the same without the need for the first can, but running 2 cans is quite common. The CCV Bible (
http://www.shophemi.com/images/media/p-2273-arrington_ccv_bible.pdf) will explain in detail as well as the double catch can system using the crankcase outlet. Myself I just run a breather on the crankcase and double up on the pcv.
****NOTE: Mounted high!!!!**** Unlike the BT can that is lower than the PCV!
