Hey whats up everyone. I am having a problem with my 95 Ram with the 5.9L. The truck has 30k miles on it. Lately driving the truck the oil pressure gauge will drop to 0 under acceleration. as soon as I let off it goes back above 40. It does this after the truck warms up. Then other times I can be cruising down the interstate and it will stay in the normal under regular acceleration. The truck does not seem to be down on power at all or no strange noises. I checked the oil and it is still full. How can I tell if its just the sending unit or the oil pump?

Thanks
James

Update: I took my truck to a friend of his. He installed a new oil pressure sending unit and problem is solved. Hopefully this helps someone down the road.
