my oil pressure gauge has always gone all the way down then back to normal since i got the truck 2 years ago. this has gotten more and more frequent in the past couple months and now its to the point where i dont wanna drive it because im afraid I'll seize it up. someone told me it could be a faulty sensor but i dont believe that because the sound changes drastically when the gauge drops to zero. almost sounds like theres no oil in the motor at all.

I've changed:

oil pump

oil

fuel pump

put in a new freeze plug because one fell out

distributor cap

rotor button

spark plugs

plug wires

and other things.

oh and i also cut off my exhaust pipe with a grinder where the cab meets the bed (i was trying to make it louder so i could sell it to a high school kid. didn't work.)

any help would be greatly appreciated.
