Good afternoon-

This is my first post and I have been reading for awhile now. Lots of useful information. However, i have searched the forum and can't find this particular answer.

I am interested in the Bilstein 5100 or Rancho Quicklift, for my 2014 Laramie. At home, I am fine on height for garage, but at work, i only have about 2.5-3" inches to play with. So my question is, by adding the leveling kit, keeping stock tires (275/60), how much does the overall height of the truck increase. I am thinking that it can't be more than 1.5" in the middle of the truck.

I will also be adding 34" in tires, so i will gain a .5" on top of the level. So i need to make sure i can fit in the parking garage at work.

Thanks in advance for the answers.

The highest point on your truck right now is the top of the XM shark fin, which is at the rear of the roof. You have 5 different settings from stock to 2.8" on the Bilstiens. If you're not doing any spacers in the rear, and using one of the middle settings in the front, then your overall height won't change much other than the increase from the tires . . . You're just leveling it. Keep in mind that the 2.8" setting and 2014 ball joints don't go together very well. Stick with 1.4" or 2.1".

The Rancho Quick Lift and 34" tires will give you a net front end lift of about 2.5" however as you move from the lowest point of the truck in the front to the highest point in the back this # will change because you not lifting the rear which remains the same. I have never measure the actual roof Height. I can do that tonight, but I'd imagine its in the 1.75-2" range in the front of the roof.

I've got Rancho's and 34" tires. So far I have never had a problem with not being able to fit in parking garages. My antenna is beat to hell because it always hits now but that's it

Just a little FYI . . . You can pull the little ball off of the end of the antenna, cut it to the desired length, and just epoxy the ball back on . . . You don't lose any reception at all, unless you cut it down to 3" LOL . . . Any way, I cut it down so the antenna was 1" taller than the XM radio fin on my roof . . . I you pull into a parking garage, car wash, or drive thru, and it clips the radio antenna, then you know you better stop before you remodel your roof

Cloudlight. If I ordered Rancho QL's just for the front end, what exactly (Qty & PN) do I need to order?

I was just going to keep the rear end stock. Please keep in mind I am NOT much of a wrench.

Thanks.

double checking the part number for the bilstein 5100 front shocks. bil24-187367. it appears that this number works on both sides? was looking at both the rancho and the bilstein adjustables. the bilsteins look like they have 5 adjustments up to 2.8" and the ranchos have 9 adjustments up to 2.1". is this info correct before i take the leap and order? thanks.

I just got my bilsteins and I see everyone one recomending 2.1 or 2.8. My question is which setting would that be on the strut? Mine has 4 setti ngs. Stock height, .67", 1.34", 2". I didn't see any markings on the strut idicating anything so I'm just curious. It's for an 08 if that helps.
