Overdrive install

Okay so here's my issue, I have the unit on the output shaft of the transmission and I can get it almost all the way on but about a half inch of space left between the unit and the trans, am I missing something here??? The part came off the same year transmission...

Did you (or someone else) do a rebuild/replace of the OD unit??Mine needs the OD fixed too....

I rebuilt my buddy's OD using internals from a 46re

Soooo...what happened here??Did you "make up" that last 1/2 inch??
