Overhead console

Hey I have a 96 ram 1500 and my overhead console isn't showing the temperature or the direction. The screen is juat black. The courtesy lights work and everything. It wont respond to pushing the buttons. Checked the fuse and it was good. Anybody have any suggestions?

Was there a previous owner that might have unplugged it? If not, it's prolly toast and need a new one.
