Part identification question

I am new to the diesel world and am wondering what this is. I've narrowed down a leak to this - it's the black wet "L" shaped tube. It's leaking out of the end where the connection meets up to the tube.

You may want to put the location of the part I.e under truck right side etc... That may help people help you .

I don't know what it's leaking. It's dark but it isn't engine oil dark and it doesn't have the same smell as oil anyways.

The picture is taken on the drivers side of the block, laying under the truck looking up.

Does that go to the power steering pump?
I'm havering a hard time putting the picture into perspective but going off of lowers drivers side that would be my guess

Looks like the heat exchanger for an automatic transmission.
