Hey guys. I'm thinking about pieceing together a small lift. Let me know if what I'm thinking is not a good idea.

I want to get 2.5" HBS leveling spacers, then put on 2" rear lift blocks (new U bolts). I want to keep a somewhat factory rake. Would I have to get new rear shocks immediately? I just put on some new Monroe HD shocks about 4 months ago (stock length). Let me know what y'all think.

For a 2" lift no you wouldnt. Most lift kits that provide a 2" rear block say you'll be fine with stock shocks.

Sweet... I'm shooting to put 35's (or 315s) on stock 17s.. would I have to run spacers? If so, how big? I don't have funds for new rims, and I honestly don't want them. I love my stockies. I would LOVE 37s (37x12.50r17) but can't afford any as of yet..

You should clear 35s no problem, I don't think you will need a spacer but you may rub a little on tight turns. Definitely won't clear 37s though.

So in theory... with 2" spacers I would clear 37s? lol

No you still wont. They recommend at minimum a 6" lift to clear 37s. It took a 7" lift on my 2wd to be able to barely clear them. The 2wds sit about an inch shorter than the 4wds from the factory.

That's what I was worried about. 1.5" spacers may be in order anyways. I wanted at least 35s, but I guess worst case scenario I'll settle for 33s.. Any advice or comments about spacers?

Thanks Matt, but I ran into some things recently where truck mods are on hold for a little while. If it's not sold when I get some cash I'll hit you up for sure!
