So this may long weekend I'm heading to the states to silver lake dunes to screw around with my black moose. Also gonna have a big 3 truck drag race if anyone's interested in video.

But my question is. Any percautions I should take to protect my truck from sand? I'm. Running the vara ram and all the sand flying around makes me kinda nervous. As well as getting sand in any mechanical joint. Some answers would be appreciated

I take my truck out on the beach.

    From my experience...

1)I Fluid Film the underside 2x a year.
    2) Wash the underside after playing.
    3) Air down to 20 psi.
    4) Run in 4low (44-44 transfer case is not the greatest for sand )
    5) Carry an tsunami air compressor to air back up. It's not the greatest, but it works.

Where I live has dust storms regularly and I've taken my truck on our local free track which is all sand on a dairy farm. No issues from that perspective, granted I don't have a vararam. I would keep an eye on that. Either way go out there and have a blast.

I live in the Mojave desert and I always play in the sand. When your trip is done, get a good car wash. Maybe go through twice. Clean your Vararam filter. Have fun brother and post that race video for us!

I hope you have 4x4 and air down (already mentioned earlier).

(Nice to not have a Bilstien w/ wheels question for once).

I got all the goodies so far. Just swapped off stock rubber for 35" toyo rt. My group will have on board air. And we all also have 4x4. I'm calling it the big 3 oreo race. Since we have a black dodge. White Chevy. And black ford

Mojave is fun as hell. An actual desert compared to this eastern NM/West TX dry farmland.
