Hey there,
I have recently purchased a 2013 Ram Sport with 50k on it. While driving on a very rough road the EPS warning light came on (steering wheel/exclamation). And then in big letters Power Steering Hot read between the gauges. The warning resets when I turn the ignition off and back on. This doesn't happen on light bumpy roads, but when I returned to the same road it happened again. Heading to Dodge on Thursday to have the computer diagnosed. I haven't found one tread on all of google about this... any info before I go to Dodge would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Zenon,

I didn't see any STAR cases or TSBs that relate directly to what you've explained here, but you are welcome to shoot us a message if you need any additional help during your service appointment on Thursday!

have you checked the fluid level? also check the color and smell and see if it seems burnt. you could try swapping the fluid out with some new quality fluid and see if that helps any.

There is no fluid, its electric power steering EPS. Found on 2013 and newer models. That was my first thought as well and was pretty stumped when I couldn't find the reservoir. Lol

I seem to be running in to the same problem with my 2019 1500 classic. How did ours resolve?
