Any last minute tips that could help me. This will be my first time putting a lift on. Its the 5 in kit. My Buddy and I are doing it. He's been a mechanic all his life so he knows what he's doing. I just want it too go smoothly. Too get the leaf spring out don't you lower the front differential enough until your able too get it our do you need a spring compresser?

For the front coil springs on front axle, unbolt the top shock tower, then lower the axle with frame on jackstands, youll want to remove the tires to get as low as possible. I needed a spring compressor, but you may have enough room to slide them in.

For the rear, if its blocks, simply unbolt u bolts with frame supported on jackstands, and tires removed, once unbolted lower axle until blocks fit and put new u bolt on. DO NOT reuse Ubolt is what everyone says.

If its leaf springs for the back same basic principle only you'll remove the leave spring mounting bolts, and u bolts. remove leaf spring then put new spring back in its place, and ubolt and bolt it all back up.

Expect this take a few hours unless you are extremely skilled in which case props to you sir.

Front 5" you'll need to lower the front and unbolt the sway bar end links. Spring compressors would be a good idea to have in case you need em

Already got my lift on but Had too grind these off and cut the bolts too get them off. They go on the bottom arm. I see it takes a special kind of bolt. Could someone please tell me what's its called ? Also what does it do. I see it has teeth. I put regular bolts in its place til I figure it out 565df77c30f3679751a7d6d942374dbe.jpg239eff74c69c01b962cb063b93761693.jpg

Yeah your alignment will be all over the place without those "special" cam bolts.

Lower control arm cam bolts. You can get them on E-Bay and Amazon probably a lot cheaper than a dealer.

SpecD. Not very good, plain clear headlight with good bulbs is better. Philips>Sylvania
I changed out the bulbs and it fixed my issues by a lot. I can see a lot better than what I did with stock. I have a headlight build on the way gonna put 3 in square pods in it

If you want better lighting performance, LED/pods are going backwards. If its not much of a regular driver and just want the look, do whatever

I mean I'll admit its not the best thing out there. You know more about it than anyone ive seen on here. It works for me I guess. I'm just use too it by now. It was complete **** when I first got them but I upgraded all the lights in it and its actually not that bad from my perspective not knocking your opinion or anything

I just like the look of the 1 piece design. Don,t really care how effective they are at night.

Nah i get you. I apologize, i come off as gruff and dickishv sometimes, not trying to be (bad habit of speaking very plainly). But yeah those SpecDs the biggest issue is the bulbs. The ones that come with are ok for like 3 months then **** poor. Putting in good bulbs does a lot for em.

Myself I've done a lot of playing with headlights and HID retros, LEDs and halogens and bang for buck performance, just wanna be able to see, clear headlights with Philips bulbs are impressing me very much at the moment. My projectors were a nice crisp white light and awesome but that white gives it a lot of reflection off objects and though they i thought they looked awesome it practically screamed at cops "Hey look at this *******! Follow this guy" :roflsquared: . Lol the halogens habe similar reach depending on the aim, the hot Kelvin rating (3400 vs 5500) cuts through weather nicely and the color is easy on the eyes. Doesn't look nearly as good but for a daily driver with 191k it's not worth it to me anymore to be doing these cool builds when i could spend the money elsewhere.

Little comparison. ****** pics and both are pretty impressive. The halogen is just a better fit for MY situation.

Spyder makes a somewhat nice looking set as well. Actually i am particularly fond of the Spyder lights and want to play with em a bit. Maybe if i ever get a 2nd Gen2 lol
