I'm thinking about getting a 2" body lift installed. I'm hoping some guys on here that have a body lift chime in with some info for me. What brand name are you using? Are there any brands you would steer away from? Any issues to be concerned with? And, what did you pay for installation?

Thanks!!

I'm installing a zone 1.5" body lift next Saturday... I called my local 4wd center, they wanted $850 to install. I said "its a $140 kit". Their reply was "it's a 10hrs install at $85 an hour" I proceeded to laugh my a$$ off over the phone...thanks but no thanks!!!
Ill let you know next week how it went but I don't foresee a 10 hour install... 3-5 max!!!!!

Thanks for the response. I just saw it now... I thought I set it up to watch this thread and receive alerts...guess not though.

Let me know how the install goes. I called a local 4WD center.. They want $140 for the 1.5" zone kit and quoted $500 - 700 for install, depending on the time they put into it.

Read the instructions for a 3" and a 1.5. I have done both a few times. Laughing at him to his face only told him how much experience you have at this . The difference of the amount of work between the two is minimal . The price of the kit is the biggest difference I have found.

Every shop I’ve ever gotten a quote from all said the same thing. That it takes damn near all day to install the body lift. And I’m just trying to wonder how the hell does it take that long but they can throw a 6 inch lift with tires and wheels on in 2 hours!!

I put the Zone 1.5" on, by myself, in 6 hours. That is slow compared to others on here.

I Think 300-500$ would be pretty good price for installing a body lift

Quote here in NJ is $500 - 700 depending on how long it takes...plus the $140 for the 1.5" lift.

I just did my 1.5 Zone this weekend. It takes ALL of 5 hrs. Not a real hard install but time consuming taking off all the front stuff like bumpers, grill, headlights, fogs, light bars, all fan shroud brackets and all the plastic pieces over and under the motor. Then the rear you gotta trim the bumper, loosen and spin your exhaust tips to fill the holes, and put spacers above your hitch. There’s the bulk of your time. Lift itself isn’t that bad. I did it myself with help from a buddy. We’ve done a few regular suspension lifts over the years. If I had to charge to do one....I wouldn’t do it for under 400 bucks would be my price, and I have no shop or over head. So some of those prices aren’t too too ridiculous honestly.
