Is it worth getting these programmers, exhaust kits, and intake kits or does it depend on what it is you are going to do with the truck?

It depends on what you want. i like the power it gives the truck, other, they are happy with the stock setup.
It's all in what you want to spend on your toy.

If driving it is one of the things you are gonna do with the truck then yes it's worth it...lol It just makes driving it more enjoyable, especially when the unsuspecting ricer pull up next to you. Like mentioned above, if you're happy with the power it has stock then don't mess with it... but being a diesel you'll have some crazy gains from just a tuner so I say it's totally worth it.

If you like having more power, better sound, and better efficiency, then yes...they are absolutely worth it.
