Does the coolant flow into the block from the top of the radiator? Or the bottom?

The bottom. Hot coolant comes back to the radiator through the tstat into the top of the radiator.

You're a good man Sir thank you.

So I think I'm gonna remove the Tstat. Remove the upper hose from radiator. Plug it. Run hose from Tstat to bucket. Start the truck up, and just constantly run water through it till clean. Doing this MUST flush it pretty much 100% right?

Just pull the Tstat but leave in the gasket, reassemble. If you don't care about the mineral deposits from the tap water, your plan sounds perfect. Alternatively, pull the Tstat, but leave in the gasket, drain the petcock, refill with gallon jugs of distilled water. Run engine for a few minutes, drain/refill until your drains are clear. This takes you through the entire system. I did it 5 times to get to clear. Roughly 10gal of distilled water.

Thanks!

Yeah that should work pretty well. If you do flush it that way, please post up how it went!

If your planning on running tap water from a hose for the flush , just make sure you take diligent steps to replace the tap water with distilled water . Tap water will likely cause significant corrosion .
Good luck Sir !

^^^THIS! Distilled water only! There's a lot of aluminum components in the Hemi that tap water could corrode...

Don't worry ya'll. I'll be using distilled water lol.

Will hopefully do this at the weekend. And shall let you know! 113k miles. She is due.

Plus we plan on leaving April 16th for our trip to CA, and this is literally the last fluid that needs changed.

Question. I. Noticed that the upper radiator hose on the truck is damn near flat from vacuum in the morning.

Is this a sign of a bad radiator cap?

Honestly don't know if thats normal or bad. I've never noticed mine doing that but I've also never checked it before a cold start...

Yeah from looking around it looks like the radiator cap is rated for a certain psi. And the spring inside helps release vacuum, and coolant Into the overflow.

It's strange that's for sure

Can you just use some plieres to unthread the petcock? Or isitgere something internal to the rest of the petcock that requires an allen key?s Didn realize how huge a 3/8 Allen wrenches was and don't have one handy.

You probably could or try a larger socket to go over it. Either way be care it's just plastic...

Tried that and it started stripping, it doesn't quite seem to be a standard or metric socket size
